My Blue water series Mercury 200 EFI has some kind of a fuel problem, when I first launch the boat I squeeze the primer bulb a couple of times and it starts right up. The problem starts after I have been on the water for a period with the motor off. When I try to start the motor, it may or may not start, but if I squeeze the primer bulb, it starts right up.
Now let me start with I have replaced the primer bulb 3 times and the last one I purchased as good a quality as I could get at the local boat repair shop (not a wal-mart brand).
It seems to me like I am loosing the prime to the motor.
Should I rebuild the external fuel pump next?
