I have a manual for this motor that provides the test data for the various ignition components. All of the resistance values match. The charge coil
target output is 180 volts but the measured output is only 100 volts. There is no spark when everything is connected and the motor is spun with an electric
drill. The results seem to point to the powerpack (CDI ) unit. This power head is a brand new , old stock unit that was never started so I assumed that all the electrical
components were good. I have replaced the powerpack with a "NOS" unit from ebay. It was a dud but the seller agreed to take it back. I am hesitant to try another
ebay purchase and am getting discouraged. Marine Engine.com has one that they will guarantee but am still hesitant . Thanks for your interest.
