1999 df 70 hp trim piston stuck

Any help appreciated.......

Trim/Tilt will not move up or down or even click. So I bypassed relays and put 12V on green and then blue wires but not a gig. Wired straight from motor case to negative on battery so think ground is ok.

I manually raised the engine using release valve and I noticed one of the two small piston rods is stuck down, other is up. Is this normal? Is it jammed?

Can I take off motor without bleeding the system?

you need 12v on green and 12- on blue it will go down

vise versa for up

Thanks justintime, I presume the relays do this usually.

In my case can I just put 24V across, or is there a simple way of getting -12V 'cos I don't know how to source a +12V to -12V DC supply.

12+ is from battery positive
12- is from batt negative

Hi,

I just tried that. I had done before. Not an inch. No clicks or sounds from the motor. I reversed the battery. Same thing
