I have had this Johnson 175 Ficht for many years now and it's been very reliable and I haven't had to dump a lot of money into it. Over the last few years the motor will occasionally bog down when running at 2500 - 3500 rpms, I would slow it down and put it in nuetral and the motor would make a gurgling sound, sputter and then run normal afterwards. I have the service manual and I know the engine intimately but I have not been abel to pinpoint the source of this problem, I'm wondering if I need to service the Diaphragm type fuel pump or the vapor seperating tank?
