1998 200 Oceanpro eng check lt.

Hi - My engine died out at sea with fuel starvation . The eng check lt came on.
The harbor entrance leads to the open Atlantic so this is not a good thing.
When I got back I checked the fuel suction pipe an the mesh filter, the pipes , anti siphon, replaced the main filter/separator and the one under the hood but the engine still showed a light intermittently and tended to die out. The primer bulb remains normal.
I then noticed fuel flowing out the top of the primer solenoid. The red plastic valve shaft was split.
I bodged that up and the engine tests good up to full load at sea no leak.
But I still get an intermittent eng light. Any ideas?

Is the anti-syphon valve still in the system with it's innerds still in or did you remove them ??

If the tank is below the mtr you can knock the ball,spring and cap out of it with a long skinny punch. Then try it. They have a habit of sticking.
