On my 1998 150 hp Johnson outboard I am getting a No Oil Alarm.
I replaced the Fuel/Oil pump with a new one but after change out still getting alarm on new pump. Yes I primed / filled the oil supply hose using the primer bulb before connecting back to new pump. I even cut back the hoses a bit to make sure I had a tight fit on each one.
I then drained and checked out my oil reservoir, to make sure they were not the problem, the tank bottom and screen on the oil supply were very clean.
I removed the oil supply line and installed a clear plastic 1/4” tubing filled with 2 stroke oil and the oil was pulled into the pump when the engine was running but still the No Oil alarm did not clear.
Please Help I do not know what to do next, Could the oil sensor on the new pump be bad or am I missing something?
Anyone have any suggestions?
