The exploded drawings on the Evinrude parts catolog shows and states that the unit uses two exhaust housing seals (item 55) in the assembly. It shows one on the bottom of the upper housings and one on the top of the lower housing. The manual addresses the one on top of the lower housing but says nothing about there being two gaskets involved. When I dropped the lower unit only the gasket on top the lower housing was present.
Which is right? How many gaskets does this thing use?
