Purchased a boat with a 97 evinrude 200. had some issues such as rough idle, shutting off and hard starts, and very very smoky. so i replaced all fuel lines cleaned the carbs and also did a rebuild on the VRO. now it runs amazing until it loses fuel. with the motor running and squeezing the bulb every minute or so, it will stay running as long as it wants, but as soon as i stop priming the bulb it will shut off. Also when i am priming the bulb, fuel sprays out of this little tiny hole that is in the vacuum pressure switch. I am not sure why fuel sprays out of there, i do not think it is supposed to. Any help would be great as to why it gets starved of fuel and also why fuel sprays out of the vacuum switch when priming the bulb.
