1997 225 EFI has been sitting for 4 years

I recently bought a 97 225 EFI that has sat for the last four years. It was properly stored and drained. The motor has less than 200 hours and supposedly rarely ever exceeded 30mph on a 21.5’ ranger. What all would you recommend I look/go through to make sure this motor hasn’t been damaged from sitting? I plan to run sea foam in the gas and ease into running it at high RPM initially
 
DO NOT USE SEAFOAM ON A FUEL INJECTED ENGINE!!!!! you will damage the filters in the injectors which will ruin the injectors. Mix a can of gas with @50:1 with Quick Silver Premium plus oil... Hook it to the engine and run it.

You will know if anything needs to be serviced.... The water pump should be replaced before you even attempt to start this engine.


FYI the Mercury VST fuel Filter is several hundred dollars..$$$$$$

One of the Yamaha VST fuel filters is a direct replacement @$40.00 If needed.
