"I messed with this last year

"I messed with this last year a little, I was having trouble getting the primer bulb to pump up hard. I would pump and pump and it was nothing but air. I replaced the bulb and the line, same thing. I borrowed a buddies tank that was almost new, same thing. I rebuilt the fuel pump even though it looked good and it pumped up. Thought that was it. Took it out and after about 10 minutes wide open it started cutting out, I reached back and the bulb had lost prime so I pumped it up and it ran for another 10 minutes or so. I know it is on the motor side and not the tank. I also replaced the
fitting at the motor and the fuel lines in the motor. Any ideas?

Thanks,

"Your problem comes across as

"Your problem comes across as being a faulty fuel pump (running out of fuel). However, that has nothing to do with the problem in obtaining a proper prime (hard fuel primer bulb).

Try holding the fuel primer bulb in a vertical position when priming, that is with the outlet (engine side) pointing straight up."
