1995 Mariner 9.9 2 stroke

I have a 1995 Mariner 9.9 2 stroke that will idle fine with the choke off but when I I put it in gear and accelerate it will die out unless I pull the choke all the way out. It runs good at full speed withe choke out. I have cleaned the carburetor and put on 2 new fuel filters. New plugs and set the air/fuel jet out 1 1/2 turns.What’s going on?

Try more turns out? Or make sure your carb main Jet is clean. Link and sync right.

I have a gamefisher 9,9hp. It has a primer bulb on the engine and it’s in a black rubber boot. Any ideas on how to get new primer bulb into rubber boot
