[FONT="]I have a new to me 1995 2 cylinder 2 stroke. It starts and runs fine. Am using high octane no ethanol gas. When I set the throttle to produce 3000 revs with engine warm it gradually increases the revs to over 4000 revs and the boat speed increases. If I set it to 4000 then it will sometimes race away and over rev. I changed the prop because I thought it may be spun and was slipping. A brand new prop does the same thing. The boat is a 16 foot Grumman aluminium. Prop is a 12 inch 17 pitch.[/FONT]
[FONT="]The only thing I can think of is maybe timing is changing . There is no obvilous loosness in the throttle linkage that I can see.[/FONT]
