I have a strange problem. I have a 94 Evinrude recently rebuilt, it has done 80 hours since being rebuilt.
I have replaced the plugs and CDI module, had a previous problem dropping spark on a cylinder.
The problem is sometimes when the throttle is wide open it wont rev above 2,000 rpm. Then it will rev out and work fine. Could this be in the advance timing? I have replaced the ball and couple as they were warn out.
The VRO pump was also replaced when the motor was rebuilt. I have also ran a can of BRP engine tune through.
Any ideas or suggestions welcomed.
