I picked up the motor a few months back and it was originally set up for remote control. I'd like to convert it to a tiller. I have been collecting some parts (probably some wrong) and have learned along the way that there are (at least) 2 options. By the attached photo, can someone tell me if I should be using a "tiller shift" or "side shift" configuration?
I had originally thought this was a "tiller shift" but I don't see how the push-pull cable system controls the shift lever as well as the throttle.
