1993 Evinrude 150 Ocean Pro

Can anyone tell me what causes fuel to come out of the top fitting of my vapor pump? It is a new pump, also, i removed the vapor tank cover to check the float bowl and needle and seat but noticed the bowl would drain as soon as i pumped gas into it? I am having a issue with rough idle, i've narrowed it down to the middle cylinder on the starbord side, I know the port side shuts down at idle. All cylinders have equal spark, so I think it's a fuel issue. Thanks.

Why do you say " port side shuts down at idle " on this motor ?

There's a switch on the shift linkage next to the motor that shuts off the spark on the port side when in neutral. I took the switch out of the bracket and tested it with the motor running.

Switch only kills spark when shifting out of gear and fuel from vapor pump is due to float not sealing off vapor inlet. Its either stuck down or needle has problem....

Motor should run on all 6 at idle !
