1993 88hp evinrude

i have a 1993 88hp evinrude that is driving me nutts,when the motor is cold it will idel fine, but after its warm, it dosent want to idel,going from wot to netural the motor will all but die, i have put new plugs,carb kits,rectifier,all 4 cylinders have 120psi..any help would be grateful

The stator under the flywheel (beginning of the ignition and charging system)..... look at it closely to see if there are cracks and/or a substance dripping down upon the timer base and powerhead area. If dripping especially, that would cause a problem such as you describe (voltsge drop to powerpack when hot).

ok looked under the fly wheel last nite, did not see any cracks or anything dripping from the stator, onto the timer base, got anymore ideas, where to look now.....thanks
