1992 Force 150 hp overheating

I changed water pump, thermostat and it pee a small amount of water but it still sounds the over heat buzzer. I am running it on a set of ear muff. Any help would be appreciated.

On the muffs: needs LOTS!!!!! of water pressure.
Get a temperature gun and check the temp as it runs and see if it is really getting as hot as it says??
Is the new thermo the right heat range?
Pump installed right?
