I have a 1992 Yamaha 30hp outboard model 30MSHQ. I need to replace the lower drive and I need help with the correct replacement part number. Online research has come up with a part number 6J8-45300-04-EK. I understand that the "04" portion of the part number denotes a short shaft. All websites show this as discontinued and unavailable. One website says that it has been superceded by part number 6J8-45300-04-4D. Is this correct because the one place that has these in stock show these as fitting a 1994 and beyond outboard. Any help would be appreciated.
