The low oil alarm stopped working and run out of oil, motor stoped and restarted at low revs,filled oil tank and after a few minutes the motor started and come up to full revs in a few minutes, have not had a problem since.

Is the motor designed to stop and run at low revs if oil is low.or out of oil ?
