1991 suzuki dt 115 trimtilt problem

"91 suzuki dt115. i have repla

"91 suzuki dt115. i have replaced the trim/tilt selonids, replaced the voltage rectifier/regulator. the batteries are fully charged. i get a clicking at the selonids and every now and then the motor will trim or tilt. i am going to try to replace the brushes in the t/t motor assy. any other ideas or susgestions

What happens when you bypass a

What happens when you bypass all the solenoids and switches and go direct to the motor? If it does not have a place to do this than you can cut the wires and install plug-in connecters.
 
supply 12v to the blue wire co

supply 12v to the blue wire coming from the trim motor
what happens
do the same to the pink

"i tried that and got nothing.

"i tried that and got nothing. so i ordered brushes overnight. i opened up the pt/t motor cover and the armature was black from the brushes. so i sanded the dirt off the armature and it came back to the copper color, sanded the brushes alittle bit, put it back together and its working better now than it has in the past 3 years."
