I'm a little confused as to how much and where exactly do you apply the loctite 518 gasket maker on both the block and the crankcase cover. Do you apply the sealer directly to the outside of the main bearings? Is there a video? If i'm correct it takes quite a lot af gasket maker do perform the install correctly. Thanks

Yes, you need a fair bit but you only need lay down a bead on the (block side).

A small "continuous" bead between the bolt holes on the entire perimeter is sufficient (so yes, between the main bearings and the outside of the block).
