1990 Yamaha 25 hp 2 stroke how to test stator

The motor has no spark. how do you test the stator? What are the specs for resistance?

In addition to testing for resistance there is a test for output voltage.

This is a friend's motor so I don't have the complete id. They continued their work on the motor and found spark but it wouldn't stay running. They found an air leak and are looking into ordering parts. thanks
