ive got a 1990 mercury 70 outboard that i had to replace the trim motor as well as the trim switch, once i installed/ added fluid and primed the pump, it doesn't want to tilt up under constant load, i will have to press the button for 2 seconds or so at a time, then it slows down to a crawl and when i press the button again and it picks back up. the battery seems to be ok, fully charged, connections are tight, fluid is staying full when tilted full down/up, it seems like there might be air in the system still but this is my first boat, and the manuals don't seem to provide clear answers.
