I have a 1990 200 evinrude tha

I have a 1990 200 evinrude that sneezes from the top left carb( looking at the carbs from inside the boat ) upon start-up for about 2 minutes when i start her up on the ears. She fires right up with no problem its just that sneeze i want to correct. ANY IDEAS ?

"If it does it only when cold it sounds like a lean condition. I don't think you have a low speed adjustment on your carbs, maybe time to overhaul them."

"Stick two fingers into the ca

"Stick two fingers into the carb throat(s). When the engine smooths out, you've found the offending carb.

Left isde of carb, lower jet is the idle air bleed jet.

Slowly close up that jet hole slightly with a toothpick or some tool of your choosing. If the engine again smooths out, that proves you've got the offending carb.

Look closely at the jet size imprinted on that jet. Install a smaller one so that less air/more fuel is metered.

This is assuming that everything else is as it should be."
