"while flushing the motor the water coming from the pee-tube varies from a steady stream to a very weak stream,I placed the motor in a large drum and the same happens. Impeller less than 6-months along with the thermostats.The stream increases in strength as rpm increases. Any ideas ?"

sounds normal, only way to test is with a infrared temp gun"

You should get a stea

You should get a steady stream from the tell-tale at all times. I always pull the lower unit and connect a water hose directly to the water tube to see if there appears to be an obstruction, but I would suspect that there is a minor problem with the pump. Maybe the seal at the base of the housing did not seat properly.

"Before you do anything major, disconnect the tube from the tell-tale. That thing can clog up on you very easily. See if you get a decent stream from the tube itself."
