Gents, I'm doing a carb clean and rebuild on a neglected 15hp. I'll just say that the inside of the carb was definitely in need of cleaning. When removing the airbox, the seal fell to the bottom of the compartment. How is this attached? This is the horseshoe shaped piece of rubber that goes between the airbox and the carb and creates the seal. Can I simply use some type of adhesive to stick in on long enough for the airbox to be installed? Adhesive should likely be fuel resistant. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I'm replying to my own post. In retrospect, it was a silly question. I put a couple very small smears of gasket sealer on the interface, let it get tacky and put it together. Seems to be working fine.
