1989 70hp 2 stroke wont start suspect fueling problem

my 70 hp engine wont start sine i bought it from a guy it was spares or repairs i have cleaned carbs and feul lines no luck. also i have spark for sure any body got any ideas?

Are you pushing the key in and holding it in while cranking it over ?

i dont think i was pushing the key in when cranking, why deos that do?

Opens the enrichment valve for cold starting.----Same idea as a choke flapper.----Only better.----Best to get an owners manual and read how to start this motor.-----Also install a new water pump impeller.-----Will save you a lot of grief when you know the basics.
