This morning the port Crusader

This morning the port Crusader engine 350-454 started with out any problem. However a few hours later this same engine will now not turn over at all. The battery is brand new so I do not think that could be the problem. I am hopping someone has some advice on where to look next to try to fix the problem.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

The most common reason for a no crank is the neutral switch. You may want to try moving the shift lever slightly in either direction, while attempting to start. You may find that you find the spot that allows the starter to engage. If this is the case, you will want to get the linkage adjusted to prevent this condition in the future.

If this does not help, you will have to troubleshoot the electrical system to identify the open circuit. There are many things that could cause this problem. They include, but are not limited to:

Faulty key switch
Faulty starter solenoid
Faulty starter
Faulty harness or connection
Faulty battery cable or connection
Faulty battery

Hope this helps,

Rick"
