1988 70HP Mercury control box

I'm looking for the manual of my control box. The control box housing has a part number of 85892. I have also have a picture of my control but the forum won't let me upload it.. I have 2 questions:1) Where can I find a manual on how to put this back together after trying to take it apart?2) If I were to replace it, what should I get that would basically be a drop in, no new cables (I could use new wiring though)
