1988 35hp 2 stroke will not idle.

Like title said. Engine will not idle without stalling out. Also only seems to only have about 80% power while running.

Running on two cylinders? Try pulling off a plug wire while it's running--use insulated gloves and a screw driver. Try one plug than the other.

Running on both cylinders. Just running rough and dies when at idle. I adjusted the idle up for starting but then is too high once the enigine is warm. Also tried to adjust the carb out but still seams to have a slight skip while running. Got it to run for about 30 min with the engine sounding and running good but then lowered rpm to turn and did not want to run correctly again.

Sounds like crud in the carb. It needs an overnight soak in carb cleaner.
