Hi all,
I have a Mercury 90hp 3cyl 2 stroke when I turn key the warning alarm goes off loud continuous alarm, without starting engine, even when i start engine still stays on.
I know the float inside oil tank is broke so I have disconnected the wires to it, but alarm still goes off.
I have also put on new temp sensor and new temp gauge.
If I take all sensors off on outboard except the tan harness lead alarm still goes off, so i take from this its the wiring harness or warning alarm.
The only way i can get it to stop is disconnect the tan wire on back of temp gauge, which means I have no temp warning. There is no alarm module on engine.
Does anyone know if there is a test you can do on the wires to find out exactly where the fault is? if its alarm or wiring harness.
This is wrecking my head all help will be appreciated.
