got a 1987 stingray 195 with a 3.7 ltr 4cylinder (165 hp) i got the running issues straightened out, but i am looking for the optional carb settings. what should be the idle setting and where is the best idle mixture setting. Seems to me it was an adjustment about a 1/2 turn out from smoothest running. trying to get the engine to start warm easily, now i have to crack the throttle to about 1200 rpm to start it when warm

dwell is 44, idle timing set at 8-10 deg
thanks

The only external carburetor adjustments that can be made, will be the low speed metering and the idle stop screw, and/or the helix and choke plate adjustment.
The low speed metering screws control the air volume into the low speed metering circuits.
Reduce air (screws in), and the F/A ratio fattens up.
Increase air (screws out), and the F/A ratio leans out.

Use a vacuum gauge and adjust for the highest reading while simultaneously adjusting the stop screw as to keep idle rpm consistant.

Without getting into the interior, there's not much else you can change or adjust.
