I have a very good running 150hp Mercury Black Max, I think I might have a rectifier issue. The voltage is 13.5 to around 14 at idle, but 3000+ RPM and it's 16.0 to 16.3 volts. I had a 40hp Mercury 2 stroke I changed from rectifier to regulator, great voltage control after the switch. Can I do the same with this one? How can I tell if I have a 9 amp stator or 16 amp?
