1981 Mercury 115 2stroke

I'm new to boating and owning a 2 stroke. I purchased a 16ft boat with the 115 Mercury heard it run sounded great. After an hour on the water the engine stalled. Took a bit to get it started again I was thinking it was a fuel supply issue. When is was running again it had no power. So after I got it home I removed the spark plugs and found #3 cylinder spark plug had melted aluminum on covering the electrode. I did a compression test and #3 is at 95psi 4 cylinders are 145 and other is 125. Im just wondering is this most likely going to be an engine rebuild to fix this problem?

Did you put a new water pump impeller in right after you bought it ??-----This sounds expensive.-----Might be hard to fid a shop that will rebuild that for you.

No I didn't. But during the hour on the water there was a solid stream from the pump
