1981 chrysler 4hp leaking gas from air intake

I just got a new carb bowl gasket for this motor, and now it appears that it is leaking gas from the air intake on front of carb. motor started on first pull and ran it for about 5 minutes, then when i went to start it again noticed gas leaking Any ideas???

carb float valve not seating when float chamber fills with gas. first,check if missing parts, gunked up/ jammed, or if mis-assembled.
