1980 70 hp 3cylinder sealant or no sealant

Replacing the gasket on the exhaust manifold. Is a sealant needed for this particular motor?

Shouldn't need sealant if there is a gasket.

If its grey aftermaket or old OEM stock a lite coat ov avation sealer. If its the newer green shiny type bolt it on and go..will seal when it gets hot.
