" I have 2 questions:
1. Notice the ? in the year of my engine, it's because my model number does not conform to the description in the Clymer manual I bought (covering years 197? - 1990). The manual says to number the leters in the word "Introduces" and match the last 2 letters of the model number to the word to get the year, the last 2 letters in my model number are "EA", there is no "A" in the word "Introduces"?? The serial number on the same plate matches the one I found on a water plug on the engine block. Am I missing something? Nearest I can tell it's a 87 because the wiring matches for that year...
2. Not sure if water is supposed to leak out of a hole in the engine block just behind the drive shaft where the engine mounts to the leg? I can just barely see the hole, it looks rough but maybe a hose is supposed to connect in it and aim the water down? Water flows out with gravity as it drains from the engine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
