1977 Mercury 50 HP upper driveshaft seals

I dropped the Lower Unit to replace the water pump so long ago, that I don't remember how to put it back together. The Seloc manual I have mentions two upper driveshaft seals in the instructions, but they are not shown on the diagram (nor in the mercury parts manual diagram that I downloaded from the mercury marine site). The water pump kit I used came with what looks like the seals described in the instructions, but I'm not sure. Online searches have not clarified the situation. Any help is appreciated.

The upper seals are pressed into the end cap of the crankcase. There are no seals on the driveshaft itself that you have to worry about when dropping and reinstalling the lower unit except for the slinger that is pushed over the driveshaft and against the water pump housing.
