Bought 1977 115E. Cranks easy - fires right up. Bogs down and dies when throttle advanced. Rebuilt carbs, installed new plugs, and put in clean gas. Same problem. Put in shop. They replaced a head gasket and made a few adjustments. $350 later I still have same problem. Engine runs great if you can mess with throttle until RPM's come up, but as soon as you drop back to idle problems start all over. Seems to be worse after engine warms up. Mech now says compression on #4 is low (95#) and the low compression is keeping fuel pump from working properly. I'm sure I have left something out, but does anyone have suggestions besides rebuild engine?
