Hey there everyone
I'm kind of new to boating, bought a boat last year that came with a 500 thunderbolt 50 hp merc, motor starts up beautifully, no issues there but while running there is alot of slapping around and noise like metal on metal right near the fly wheel, also when i prime the gas line the ball never gets stiff oddly enough but the motor runs. when I have the motor off and I wiggle the fly wheel around, it makes the same noise as it does when its running. does anyone have any ideas on what it could be thats causing these issues?
