1976 135HP Evinrude cutting out

I am looking for some advice on my 1976 135 Evinrude. This motor has served me faithfuly for years. This spring when I got it out it would not accelrate. I fixed that problem with a fuel pump rebuild. Now it is cutting out both under acceleration and at full or partial throtle. It feels to me like it might be dropping one cylinder the picking it back up. It is on and off like this every 5 to 10 seconds. All of the plugs are firing at idle, but I don't have a good way of checking them under load. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well, it sure sounds like an electrical problem. You'll have to troubleshoot the electrical/ignition system. Do you have a manual?

First thing I would do would be run it on the muffs at night with the hood off. Look for arcing wires or coils.
