Just a survey. Would it be more advantageous to have a water temp or water pressure gauge? And, where would the best place to place the sender?

Do you look at a gauge all the time ?-----A warning horn would be best in my opinion !!-----The impeller on those should be replaced every 2 years in cold water and every 4 / 5 years in warmer waters.----Warmer is as in comfortable swimming temperatures.----There may be a pipe plug on cylinder water jacket cover near a sparkplug that you can use.

Thanks Racerone. No I don't stare at one. But I'm redoing the dash on the boat project and was just picturing the layout and what would be best to have. The original horn is long gone. It's a 1979 Grady 204 overnighter. Was originally Johnson powered. Has the Mercury now.

I do not believe the 1976 Mercury 115 had a factory warning horn in the control box.----Item 27 is the pipe plug.
