1975 Evinrude 115 hp Fuel Pump

Just looking for some advice. The OEM fuel Pump is between $80 and $120. Aftermarket fuel pumps are under $40. Is there an aftermarket brand that has a good reputation or are they all junk ? The fuel pump currently on the motor is pretty nasty. I believe this motor hasn't been in the water in at least 15 years so rebuilding it probably wouldn't be a good idea.

Well----I think these pumps are elegantly simple.-----A new $10 diaphragm would fix it for me.

I may try rebuilding the fuel pump. I seem to be getting 2 different fuel pump part numbers... #0385784 and #0438559. Any ideas on which one is correct or is one just a newer model pump ??

0438559 will work fine.

I took apart the fuel pump and the number on it was 318374 ???

You rarely can go by numbers embossed on castings. I assume that is what you are looking at? Those are part numbers for the raw casting.
