So i'm new to boat motors. i just a got a little 12' boat with a 1974 4hp evinrude and it hasn't been ran since 1995!! it fired up right off the bat but definetly wasn't as smooth as it should be. i pulled the carb and cleaned everything in it and replaced the spark plugs also. other than that i don't know what to do next. it fires up first try every time but it doesn't have much speed (not that it is supposed to fly down the river) and it runs pretty rough. any help on what to check next?? i was told something about the connection on the end of the plug wires where it goes in under the fly wheel. any help is greatly appreciated. i would love to get this thing running great so i know it's reliable. thanks tyler
