1973 Johnson 6 horse locked up

My dad gave me a 1973 Johnson 6 HP for Christmas I still have it but let a friend use it for a year when I got it back it was locked up he probably didn’t mix the oil, I took the plugs out and shots some Blaster in it and some Seafoam anyone have any other tips also do they lock up around the pistons or the crank.

If water got into the engine it might be locked up by the bearings.-----Read carefully.----Does the flywheel move at all , even a tiny bit ?----Or is it locked solid ???----Or remove the lower unit as it might be locked up.

hum,I have friends like that.Loaned one a lawn mower that somehow ended up submerged just off the lakeshore.

Well it’s been sitting for about 4 years since I got it back from him, if it doesn’t come out of it I think I will take it apart starting with the head and just go from there and also use this site for some great advice as I go.
