Quick question y'all. I put J B weld on my heli coils for my spark plugs ( on the head) and i have no way of checking what the operating temperature is. ( I don't have the right tools ). Anyone have a general idea of what this engine is operating at? Its a 1973 Evinrude 25hp.
ALSO, The way the head gasket goes on ( with such a low torque for the head bolts) kinda freaks me out especially since theres water flowing around the piston sleeves. Anything I should take pre cautions on before bolting it on?? Other than following the bolt pattern?

Sounds like you are interested in the temperature right around the spark plugs (?). I don't have the answer, but it is quite hot in that area. Much hotter than out where the water flows.

The same torque has been specified on that engine for 20 years of production.---Nothing wrong with that torque value !!!!
