1972 Mercury 20 HP Water Pump

Okay, so I fixed the throttle issue. Now water isn't "peeing" in a steady stream from the motor... only sporadic, very small drops. I imagine it means I need the replace the impeller but wanted to double check with the forum first.

I let it run 1 minute with the flusher hooked up; is that enough time for water to cycle through and start to pee out?

Water should show ( on a boat in the lake ) in about 4 seconds.----------------------If you do not know the condition of the impeller you should replace it !!---------------Good maintenance " costs nothing " ------it just saves you a lot of money and headache.

Thanks for the reply. I know it was replaced over a year ago, but the boat sat up until it was given to me 2 weeks ago.
