If anyone could give me any help re timing or point me to a good workshop manual I would appreciate it.
I believe it's a rebadged yamaha 8a built for the Aussie market all I can say for sure is the model number is definitely 647 and the cowling says 8
Most importantly I need to know timing for idle and full throttle and points gap (guessing .020 ish)
Any info on carb tuning would also be helpful as no matter how far out I turn the air screw it doesn't wanna cough or die unless I remove screw completely.
Coming at this with a basic knowledge of motors (mostly car and mowers) and no manual is proving quite tedious.
