1972 Johnson 85hp will hit but not start

Put on new coil in june. Went to Chespeake Bay fishing it ran perfect. Parked at home, went to use it now only hits but will not stay running. Fuel system fine. Will start when cold but only runs a few seconds, then will not fire. Wait several minutes and it will do the same thing. With timing light on wire at plug it either fires and starts (runs few seconds) or there is no fire at all until we wait several minutes with key off..

Pull the flywheel and clean and set points to 0.010" and clean distributor cap and rotor,-------------Examine the anti reversing spring if it is still in there.
