I have a 1972 evinrude 100hp model no 100293R that my brother and I bought and are trying to get started. We have put all new electrical parts on it and it cranks over good but can’t get it to fire up. My question is do I have to have the control box connected to it before it will fire and if not is there a way to jury rig it so that it will fire with out the control box connected. I should say that I have a box on the way but won’t be there until Monday.
